i have read some parts of this nover when i was about thirteen years old,but the book was really too thick for me to read over patiently.it’s a pity that i haven’t finished it till now.but fortunately, i have watched the movie “pride and predudice”directed by an american film studio several months ago.the simple but pure plot, the wonderful song, the classical custume, the luxury ball, the scene full of amorous feelings from the british country, the beatiful and stubborn actress, all of these moved me deeply.

mr. darcy, the actor of the nover,a nobleman from the uper-classes in england, because of this , he has an inborn superiority that he looks down at every person from the lower-classes . he don’t like neither their life style nor their way to think.

elizabeth, the actress of the nover,an obstinate, wise young girl from the lower-classes of the country.she dosen’t like anyone who is constumelious, she hates the spurs from the pride men.

by these, you know, there’er lots of conflicts between them, but at last, darcy and elizabeth, the two different even opposite youngsters fall love .that’s very incredible.

in fact,we are always pride and think something in our mind but not right,we assess the others only depend on their background or their color of skin , we hide our true heart and pretend ,we dispise the others without any reason……

but why don’t we ask ourselves in our heart or mind: what do we feel in fact? what do we need in fact? what do we hate and love in fact? why not express our real feelings at once?why not chase the happy we really want ?……

if we can go through the hindrances that set by ourselves,if we can express the true feelings we have and say it out loudly and clearly to somebody we want to tell with, if we can give up the contumely and spurns which block us to get long well wigh the others wo love,if we can live together harmony and sincere, if ……

if that day really comes, the love will come too.

little women is a novel published in 1868 and written by american author louisa may alcott. the story concerns the lives and loves of four sisters growing up during the american civil war. it was based on alcotts own experiences as a child in concord, massachusetts with her three sisters, anna, may, and elizabeth.

little women is the story of the marches, a family used to hard toil and suffering. although father march is away with the union armies, the sisters meg, jo, amy and beth keep in high spirits with their mother, affectionately named marmee. their friendly gift of a christmas holiday breakfast to a neighbouring family is an act of generosity rewarded with wealthy mr. laurences gift of a surprise christmas feast. however, despite their efforts to be good, the girls show faults: the pretty meg becomes discontented with the children she teaches; boyish jo loses her temper regularly; while the golden-haired schoolgirl amy is inclined towards affectation. however, beth, who keeps the house is always kind and gentle. after certain happy times winning over the laurences, dark times arrive as marmee finds out about her husbands illness. worse is to come as beth contracts scarlet fever in her samaritan efforts for a sick neighbour and becomes more or less an invalid. the novel tells of their progress into young womanhood with the additional strains of romance, beths terminal illness, the pressures of marriage and the outside world. this is the story of their growing maturity and wisdom and the search for the contentedness of family life. it was written in 1867 and is a fictionalised biography of alcott and her sisters. it has become a much loved classic tale and, while some of its issues seem outdated, many of the trials of the sisters are all too relevant today as evidenced by its continued following.

the guy put on a very mean face and said, "ah, really? well, of course, i didn't expect you to have any change. i think a rich man like you will only bring big bills. " this made me angry, so i said, "my friend, don't judge a stranger by his clothes and hats alone. i can afford this suit, but i don't want to embarrass you. i'm afraid you can't change a big bill

this is the highlight of the million pounds. at that time, the shop assistant scorned and ridiculed the tramp adams, and then saw the surprise expression of a million pounds, which was described by the author. i was deeply attracted by the humorous story.

this book is the classic of mark twain of america. the book tells about a clerk of a mining agent who lost his way in sailing a yacht too far away. he was rescued by a double masted sailing ship bound for london, and used it as a sailor to pay for his journey. after arriving in london, he was still penniless. at this time, an old gentleman, calling him and giving him a letter, told him to leave (liuxuue86. com). he came to a small restaurant and opened the letter. he was almost stunned by the contents of the letter! there was a one million pound note in it! so, overnight, he became a household name. in london, everyone knew him. at a dinner party, he fell in love with an english girl named portia longham and married her. after that, he knew that the old gentleman who gave him money was her adoptive father. at his wedding ceremony with portia, the old gentleman gave him the one million pound note as a gift, and he also found a good job.

this book satirizes some people who can't resist the temptation of money. they think that money is omnipotent. in reality, i think money is absolutely not omnipotent. the theory of money omnipotence is very wrong. money can buy a bed, but not sleep; money can buy food, but not taste; money can buy books, but not knowledge money can really satisfy people's vanity, but these are all false, and the most real thing is people's magnanimous life. like adams, he lost his money, but he still lives an optimistic life. what we need to do is to treat our life with a calm heart. we should strive for our own life by ourselves. there is no free lunch in the world, only the hardworking people will have harvest. even if you're rich, it's not sure you'll get everything you want.

i was very favor of a section of music in its balls. it’s pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. regarding to the characters, i liked elizabeth, the he-ro-in-e,though i didn’t think she’s beautiful. but she’s smart.

however, i didn’t pay much attention to the plot. i thought it’s so long that it made me impatient and bored. by now, i haven’t read the whole story in english or its chinese version, either. i owe it to my prejudice. in fact, i didn’t understand the story at that time. i didn’t know why it called pride and prejudice. of course someone was pride, but i didn’t find where’ s the prejudice. i thought it’s normal, the way people treated each other in that. i considered prejudice would be very disgusting. but to the movie everthing was ok in my minds, except its length. now, i think i have understood more about it.

i’m a prejudiced person so i can’t find where’s wrong.

i merely like to do the things i like. everytime i meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.
