i spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. i used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation i simply could not afford to do so. i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations.
though those examinations were still a year away, i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.
at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later i thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer i could count on endless happy summers to come. with this in mind i then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. i was not at all bored by this kind of life, for i was sustained by a hope.

summer can be very hot in southernxx where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too. so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

when i was seven years old, i was very fond of milk, at least one glass a day. on one occasion, my mother washed her face with her cleanser, and i looked at her. suddenly, i found that cleanser is whiter than milk, and more delicious than milk. it must taste better than milk. i thought to myself, "it must be a good drink. i really want to taste it.".
after a while, mother wiped the cleanser and said, "i'll go out and stay at home."." i listened and nodded, thinking, "here comes the chance!". when my mother left, i could hardly wait to run to the sink and take a big gulp of the bottle of cleanser. "wow! it's hard to drink!" i exclaimed. this facial cleanser is not only bitter, but also very astringent, and it feels very oily in the mouth.
i quickly spit out, i did not expect a hand askew, the entire bottle of facial cleanser poured. i thought to myself: "it's a tragedy. what happened to my mother?" i thought. i paced back and forth in front of the bathroom. suddenly, i came up with a good idea. i poured a lot of milk into the empty bottle, and took a little from the spice made by my father and sprinkled it in the milk, and then stirred it with chopsticks.
after about ten minutes, my mother came back and i pretended to be watching tv. suddenly, my mother exclaimed: "this cleansing cream how into milk!" i thought: no! was found! see things brought to light, i will tell the mother sequence of events. my mother laughed and covered her stomach. 假期中最让我高兴的就是在姥姥家的日子了。那天，我一进姥姥家门，就看见院子里的纸箱里的小鸡了，黄澄澄的，它们在叽叽得叫着，可爱极了。我还看到了姥爷养的一头猪，它白白胖胖的，哼哼唧唧，它是《小猪唏哩咕噜》里的唏哩咕噜呢，还是《夏洛的网》中的威尔伯呢，如果是威尔伯，那会不会有蜘蛛夏洛呢，可看那头猪个头比我还要大，我实在是不敢到猪圈里看个明白。我还跟着姥姥到田地里去了一趟，姥姥把花生从地里拔出来，然后再一个一个摘下来，我也在一边帮忙，我还看到了玉米长什么样，当然我也吃到了香喷喷的玉米了。我小姨家的妹妹每天从幼儿园放学后来到姥姥家和我一起玩，小姨说妹妹跟我学了不少东西，看，我成了老师了。在姥姥家我还遇到了我小时侯就认识的康苗姐姐和露露姐姐，他们长大了很多，我们在一起玩的很快乐，我还跟露露姐姐学会了翻绳变魔术呢！我还教会了爸爸妈妈，我又当了一回老师。

暑假里,老师布置了一个任务——体验各种职业,今天妈妈让我自己做一次饭,而妈妈则在一旁指导,今天晚上妈妈让我做茄子、西红柿炒洋葱。我便抱着试一试的态度来到了厨房。刚开始我先切菜,先是茄子,只见案板上放着一个青色的大茄子,我觉得应该节省资源,只需要半个茄子就足够了,妈妈同意我的想法,让我切成块儿状。刚开始我切得块儿有点大,但是随着切的次数的增加,我切得越来越均匀,不一会儿就装盘了,接着一个西红柿和半个洋葱也顺利地切好了。
我准备炒菜,打开火把锅放在火上,等锅里水蒸发完以后,先放一点油进去,等油烧开了,将刚才切的菜一一放到锅中,然后再来回翻炒翻炒,接着再放两勺盐,学着妈妈的样子,却又显得十分不专业,但不一会儿,香气扑鼻,再看上一眼,真是金黄诱人,孰能不骄?
我在炒菜途中,多次觉得味道已经出来了,想尝尝,可妈妈几次都说还没好,我又想到妈妈可是炒了十多年菜的老手,便只好接着炒。妈妈告诉我,在锅里放少许水,还可以保证菜不糊,我想这可真是一个好方法,今天又学了一个小窍门!不久后,妈妈说现在可以先将火关上,用锅盖把锅盖住,先将菜闷一小会,不一会儿,我就迫不及待地将菜装入盘中——出锅了!(唉!光顾的吃,忘把菜照下来留念了!)我做的菜得到了爸爸妈妈的一致好评,本次体验圆满成功,再接再厉,争取做出更美味的菜!
通过本次体验,我明白了:做饭,也要讲究冷静,不能被表面的颜色和气味所迷惑,和学习一样,火候到家了,才能算是真正的成功!加油!!

又是一个暑假，这个暑假过得多么快乐。
每天傍晚，我和姑姑只要天气好就会去琴桥公园散步，我们随着人流一起舞蹈。在草地上自由自在地奔跑，光着脚丫在铺满鹅卵石的小路上走来走去。开心极了！
清晨我经常去江边的公园锻炼身体。我在窄小的道路上跑步，最喜欢把花坛的台阶当作平衡木在上面走来去。我还喜欢在又粗又大树枝上像猴子一样荡来荡去。坐在树杈上吹着风欣赏甬江的美丽风景。
当然我也没有忘记学习。每个星期一和星期天的晚上我都要去乐博琴苑学习吹长笛，老师吹出来笛声那么悠长，仿佛能传到几十里以外。虽然现在我吹出来的笛声爸爸说吹得不好，可是我还是希望通 过我的刻苦练习，能让我也能吹得像老师那么好，在下学年的校庆中展现自己的一技之长。
